Hermione: making the ordinary extraordinary

helenbielby

You can't be a shrinking violet when you're out and about with Hermione 😆 xx

We went for a little wander and shopped for a few things at the weekend. Hermione has a lust for life that just forces you to grab life in the moment!

We don't do massive shops with Hermione right now, as big shops and Hermione don't mix at this stage 😆.

She makes a bee line for shelves and we're not always entirely sure if she'll clear the shelf in one smooth swiping movement 🙈.

This weekend though, she surprised us all. We needed some snacks for pack ups, and for the first time, she lifted the boxes into the basket, and seemed to understand the concept of 'shopping.'

It was amazing!

We praised her and signed 'well done' in the loudest voices in the middle of Tescos 😄😆. She beamed and her little face lit up.

Then she looked us straight in the eye, and lifted another box of snacks into the basket, then another, and another...

Well, we got to about ten boxes in the basket, and we just lost the plot giggling whilst trying to surreptitiously pass the extra boxes back to each other to place back on the shelf so Hermione didn't notice 😆.

Then we said in a big loud voice, 'that's perfect Hermione, thank you for helping us shop!' and she beamed again, safe in the knowledge that she'd just bagged 10 plus boxes of her favourite snacks! 😆

Once we were done, she high-fived an unsuspecting man out with his wife for a Sunday wander, and they both couldn't help but break into a smile, and say 'hello!'

Hermione has definitely taught me to go with the flow and just feel what you feel. She's so refreshingly full of delight and it's contagious.

I love that a standard Sunday afternoon is elevated into something glorious.

Hermione discovers the extraordinary in everything, and in turn, so do others, including us.

She really is a little wonder 🥰🥰 xx
